Chapter 34: Graduation is weeks away. The characters think mainly of "next year," their new lives in new places, big cities up and down the coast. But when out of the blue Joe hears something -- a song playing on the store intercom -- he makes a decision that triggers a sequence of events that will cap off the book, leaving the characters in much different places than they thought they’d be.
